Andra is an Urban Planner in the City of Alexandria, Virginia’s Department of Planning and Zoning – Neighborhood Planning and Community Development. She specializes in long range planning (with additional knowledge in transportation, urban resilience/sustainability, and housing) and is currently working on the updated land use plan for the Duke Street corridor, which is funded in part by a TOD planning grant from U.S. DOT.
Her previous work includes transportation planning with District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and planning and advocacy with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Andra earned her graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Georgetown University (Washington, DC) and two Bachelor's degrees in English Literature/Writing and Political Science from DePaul University (Chicago, IL).
