Tara Kenyon is a licensed Professional Planner in New Jersey and accredited by the American Institute of Certified Planners. She graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Environmental Planning and Design and earned a Certificate from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy in Urban Site Planning and Design. Tara is also a Certified Agricultural Mediator for the State Agriculture Development Committee and has been successfully trained in Rutgers University Water Resources Program’s Green Infrastructure Champion’s Program.
Throughout her career, Tara has focused on land preservation, sustainability and resiliency, as well as working with municipalities to achieve environmental and health equity. She has developed and authored many Master Plan elements and planning studies, including the award-winning Franklin Township Local Health Assessment and Action Plan. Tara is currently serving as the Project Lead for "Access to Healthy Foods and Agriculture" in the Plan 4 Health New Jersey project.
Tara was previously employed by the New Jersey Water Supply Authority, followed by the Somerset County Planning Division. In 2018, she began opened Kenyon Planning, LLC and continues her work with municipalities, educational institutions, non-profit entities, and private clients in a variety of local and regional planning matters.
