Robin Vlamis is a Health Educator Consultant with 20 years of public health and health communications experience, helping organizations to understand, educate, and engage individuals and communities on their health. Robin has worked in a variety of different settings, including a health insurance company, local health departments, non-profit groups, health communications agencies, and the New Jersey Healthy Communities Network.
She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science and obtained her Master of Public Health degree from New York University with a focus in Community Health. Robin currently works at the Hillsborough Township Health Department, where she led the team in earning the Health Gold Award from Sustainable Jersey through her work on the local health assessment and health action plan. Additionally, she serves as Assistant Project Director at Plan4HealthNJ, an initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to advance public health through land use planning.
Robin has served in various leadership roles with the New Jersey Society for Public Health Education, including President and Strategic Planning Chair. She has presented her work at the state and national level, including a presentation on incorporating risk communication and health literacy principles into website design.
