Megan Terry is a licensed Landscape Architect, certified Planner, and SITES Accredited Professional, holding a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Idaho in Moscow. Born and raised in a multi-generational logging family, Megan developed a deep respect for the land early in her life, witnessing both the beauty and the challenges of human impact on natural systems. Her summers in college were spent as a wildland firefighter across the western U.S. gave her a front-row seat to the resilience and fragility of mountain desert environments, inspiring her systems-based approach to design and planning.
Megan’s focus is on resilient, long-term solutions that address regional and local challenges, as well as considerations for the people and animals that call these places home. As a foster parent and reunification proponent, Megan believes that planners hold a unique position to advocate for those whose voices are often not heard, and to convey the impacts of the built environment on social connection and belonging within our communities. Megan has a passion for top-down remediation, socially conscious planning, and nature-based design.
