Lady Kassama is a certified professional planner with extensive experience in urban and regional planning, zoning administration, and community development. Currently serving as Planner III for the City of Huntsville, Alabama, she manages annexation, zoning, planned development projects, zoning regulations, and facilitates planning commission meetings. With over two decades of experience spanning government administration and planning, Lady brings expertise in research, policy development, GIS, and stakeholder engagement. She serves the serves the Huntsville Environmental Sustainability Commission. Lady is passionate about sustainable communities and disaster resilience. She holds a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Alabama A&M University and a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines. An active member of the American Planning Association, she volunteers for the City Planning and Management Division, Sustainable Communities Division, and the Asian and Pacific Islander Interest Group.
