Spalding DeDecker
Bruce Township, Michigan
Kayla Mauldin, AICP, is a Senior Planner with Spalding DeDecker - a Michigan-based planning, engineering, survey, and landscape architecture firm. Kayla's public and private sector experience in both Michigan and Utah shapes the lens through which she views transportation planning and the relationship between planning and engineering. She led the development of Macomb County's Complete Streets Design Guidelines, which help bridge the divide between disciplines in support of safer streets and more interesting places in southeast Michigan. Kayla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University (go green!) and a Master's in City and Metropolitan Planning from the University of Utah (go utes!).
