Dean Porter-Nelson is Redevelopment Administrator for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota where he leads real estate development and new construction projects that advance equitable growth and expand housing supply. His work focuses on aligning public policy and local financing tools to deliver impactful, community-centered development.

Previously, Dean served as Housing Finance Supervisor for the City of Saint Paul and Senior Project Coordinator for the City of Minneapolis, where he structured complex housing transactions and led efforts to preserve naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) and prevent displacement.

He also serves on the board of the Minnesota Homeownership Center and has held roles with Schafer Richardson, Enterprise Community Partners, and CAPI USA. His work is grounded in advancing social equity through real estate finance and development.
