Meagan Booth is a Principal Planner with the Salt Lake City Planning Division, where she focuses on urban planning, community engagement, land use , current and long range planning and historic preservation. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Utah and has nearly 15 years of experience in the planning profession.Meagan currently serves as Vice President of the Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA) and as Director of Chapter Engagement for the Women in Planning Division. In these leadership roles, she has presented at multiple National APA Conferences (2016, 2024, 2025 and 2026) on youth engagement strategies and educational programming.In 2016, Meagan founded Little City Walks, a youth engagement program, and serves on the board for YEP Youth Engagement Planning as Director of Creativity & Professional Affiliations. Through Little City Walks, she teaches children about their environment and promotes civic engagement and public health. The program helps youth understand how systems like transportation, housing, and the environment are connected, fostering curiosity, leadership, and awareness of the role young people can play in shaping their communities. She has adapted this curriculum for diverse audiences and has worked with over 500 youth in various communities.
