Aimee has 24 years of planning experience, primarily in local government. As Principal at Confluence, she helps communities across the Midwest to shape and achieve their goals. She is a dedicated advocate of the planning profession and has vast experience in meeting facilitation, strategic planning, leadership development, code writing, and training planning commissioners and elected officials.
Previously, Aimee served as Deputy Director of Development Services for the City of Lee's Summit, MO. Leading teams in project management, planning, engineering, and codes administration. She oversaw both current and long-range development activities for the city including zonings, development reviews, permitting, Comprehensive Plan updates, and Unified Development Ordinance updates. She also led the city’s housing initiatives and code updates. Prior to her work in Lee's Summit, she was the Chief Planning and Development Officer in Olathe, KS and before coming to the Kansas City area she served as the Planning and Development Services Director in Chesterfield, MO.
Aimee earned her MA in Political Science/emphasis in Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 2003 and received AICP certification in 2008. She is also the co-creator and host of the Planning Supervisor's Playbook I and II webinar series.
