Daksha Masurkar is a transportation planner and transit strategist dedicated to advancing equitable and sustainable mobility. Growing up in Mumbai, where transit was essential for daily life, she developed a deep appreciation for the role of public transportation in connecting people to opportunities. This perspective drives her commitment to accessibility-based planning and the integration of land use and transit.
With educational background in architecture and urban planning, Daksha has worked across India and the U.S., leading and supporting transit initiatives that shape communities. Her projects include comprehensive transportation and transit plans, light rail feasibility, bus rapid transit (BRT) planning, microtransit assessments, and transit‑oriented development.
Daksha collaborates with agencies to understand community needs, engage stakeholders, and address operational considerations unique to each community. She advocates for data‑driven approaches that bring clarity and strategic alignment to transit planning. In 2025, she shared these approaches at the APA National Planning Conference, showing how data-informed insights can unify stakeholders and enhance planning results.
