Laura is a Vice President at McKenna, providing technical planning, design and zoning assistance to cities, townships, and villages throughout Michigan and leads the organization's Detroit office. On a daily basis, Laura prepares strategic land use recommendations with a focus on creative placemaking and sustainable neighborhoods and downtowns. She practices action-oriented development plans that are rooted in implementation with detailed project prioritization, phasing, economic incentives, potential partners and funding sources; enabling communities to take the next step and continue to drive results.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Art in political science and a Bachelor of Art in global area studies / international development. She also holds a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan, Taubman College of Art and Architecture.
