Kyle Mucha, AICP, Principal Planner, is a suburban and rural planner with more than 13 years of experience in technical planning, development review, water resource management, public engagement, and land use facilitation.
Kyle partners with municipal leaders, community stakeholders, and residents to provide inclusive, sustainable development that promotes quality of life for all. Working with communities of all sizes across Michigan and the Great Lakes region, Kyle delivers equitable solutions to complex problems—most notably preserving the natural environment while upholding the rights of property owners, as established within municipal zoning ordinances.
Kyle has taught human geography at Lake Michigan College and has presented at Michigan Association of Planning (MAP) and Michigan Township Association (MTA) conferences. He has also facilitated discussions on renewable energy development for the American Planning Association (APA) Indiana Chapter and is a frequent guest speaker in the Introduction to Urban, Regional, and Environmental Planning course at Western Michigan University. In addition, Kyle serves on the APA Water Planning Network Steering Committee, collaborating with partners across the United States on sustainable water planning.
Kyle is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and has completed training through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Redevelopment Ready Communities program.
