Andy is a Vice President with The Lakota Group in Chicago, Illinois. After receiving his Masters in Urban Planning from UW-Milwaukee, he worked as a planner in the Twin Cities for five years. Andy later joined the planning staff at the City of Highland Park on Chicago's north shore, staffing the city's Design Review Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, and Plan Commission. Always active in the planning community, Andy is an Advisor with the Chaddick Institute, an instructor with IL-APA's Plan Commissioner Training Program, the APA-IL Chapter’s Professional Development Officer (PDO), and hosts the Illinois Chapter's "Only Planners in the Building" podcast.
