Tracie Schillace is Planning Director for Tangipahoa Parish Government and a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) with expertise in community planning, land-use regulation, hazard mitigation, and GIS. She focuses on guiding responsible growth and strengthening community resilience through data-driven planning and clear regulatory frameworks.
Previously, Tracie worked with the City of Hammond, helping implement its first Comprehensive Land Use Master Plan, updating development codes, supporting floodplain management, and improving GIS mapping systems.
At Tangipahoa Parish, she helped update the parishwide Master Plan and is leading efforts to implement the first parishwide zoning code. These tools support better decision-making for infrastructure, development review, hazard mitigation, long-range planning and economic development growth.
