In her role as a Transportation Planner with AECOM in Michigan for the past 7 years, Yichen’s work spans transit planning, corridor studies, and public engagement. Her goal is simple: to plan for everyone and make the planning process accessible for all. She specializes in translating detailed plans into compelling stories and visual representations, and leveraging innovative digital outreach methods to amplify community voices. She has curated engagement initiatives with a high level of participation for major planning and environmental studies.
Beyond her role at AECOM, Yichen serves as the Director of Communications for Young Professionals in Transportation International (YPT-I), leading marketing efforts for a global network of transportation professionals.
