Cassi Meitl, AICP, PMP is the Manager of Strategic Initiatives at Spalding DeDecker, an urban planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, and land surveying professional consulting firm with offices in Detroit, Rochester Hills, Novi, Lansing, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Although originally from Illinois, Cassi has a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning Degree from Michigan State University and worked for DTE, a Michigan utility company, and the City of Detroit, Mayor Duggan's Administration, on brownfield redevelopment and community revitalization initiatives in the city prior to joining Spalding DeDecker. She co-opened the firm's Detroit office and started the Planning and GIS practice as Planning Manager in 2021. Cassi lives in Detroit but has been frequenting Downriver communities Wyandotte and Ecorse in the last few years.
