Michelle Aniol is the Community Development Manager for the City of Dexter, a resident of the City of Northville, and proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in 2000. She brings more than 25 years of experience in planning, zoning, and economic development across both the public and private sectors.
In her role with the City of Dexter, Ms. Aniol works to strengthen understanding of planning principles and processes by integrating planning and economic development rather than treating them as separate disciplines. She regularly collaborates with elected and appointed officials, residents, and developers; highlighting the critical role housing diversity and density, good design, in-fill development, and connections to regional park and trail systems strengthen and support businesses and promotes economic vibrancy in the City.
As an appointed official in the City of Northville, Ms. Aniol brings the same practical perspective and attention to detail that define her professional work. Her “boots-on-the-ground” experience have made her a valued member of the City of Northville Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Downtown Development Authority Economic Development Committee, River Task Force, and Zoning Board of Appeals. She consistently advocates for sound planning and economic development principles.
