Jacob Dugopolski, AIA AICP LEED AP, is an Associate Principal at WXY, managing architecture and urban design projects with over two decades of experience. He is focused on innovation in the design and planning of buildings, public spaces, and cities. Jacob leads WXY's zoning and pre-construction practice, bringing deep expertise in navigating complex rezoning processes and crafting creative solutions. Recent approvals include the Peninsula Mixed-Use Campus, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Special District, Stevenson Square, and Herkimer Williams. He has developed innovative tools and resources including Dining Out NYC and the recently released ADU for You.
His background ranges from conservation architecture in Barcelona and Dublin to community development in New Haven. With KieranTimberlake he was involved through all phases of the reinvention of Morse and Stiles Colleges. At Yale, he was the Project Manager for the Building Project and received the Parsons Award for excellence in urban design. He was recently an Urban Design Forum Global Exchange Fellow, researching ways to cut red tape for housing production. He is committed to design innovation at every scale, from the detail of a single building to the complexity of a city, and brings that curiosity and rigor to every project he leads.
