Make Food Not Waste
Stephanie Osborn, AICP, has degrees in Sustainable Business and Biology from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a Masters of Public Health and Masters of Urban Planning from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She was a planning consultant at Giffels Webster, assisting Detroit metro-area communities with long-range plans and day to day land use planning from 2020 until 2026. During that time, she led the team at Giffels Webster to write six community-specific food waste elimination Blueprints and one regional Blueprint for communities in Southeast Michigan participating in the Every Bit Counts (EBC) initiative. EBC is a strategy to reach the state of Michigan's goal to halve food waste by 2030, championed by Detroit-based nonprofit Make Food Not Waste. She served on the board for Make Food Not Waste from 2020 until December 2025 when she accepted the role of Program Director at Make Food Not Waste where she is currently working on implementation of the Blueprints and other food waste reduction efforts throughout Southeast Michigan.
