Braeden Lord is a Land Use, Real Estate, and Local Government Associate at the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. At Taft, Braeden advises municipalities, local governments, real estate developers, corporations, non-profit institutions, and small businesses on a wide range of topics including zoning, licensing, permitting, local taxation, statutory interpretation, and real property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
Braeden guides private sector clients pursuing land use and economic incentive approvals for projects throughout Illinois in the multifamily residential, affordable housing, commercial, utility, industrial, transportation, cannabis, data center, telecommunications, food/beverage, and stadium/entertainment sectors. Prior to joining Taft, Braeden worked at a municipal government law firm in Chicago at which he counseled local governments on a wide range of topics including zoning, licensing, governance, policy, and statutory compliance.
Braeden earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School and his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Boston College.
