Fiona Kennedy, AICP, (she/her) is an urban planner at MUSE Community + Design with an eye for design and a joyful approach to engagement. Fiona takes an accessibility-first approach to designing engagement activities, making sure planning processes are welcoming to all community members.
Prior to joining MUSE, Fiona was the Community Manager for the Omaha Metro’s bike sharing system, Heartland B-cycle. There, Fiona facilitated community outreach, marketing, and grant writing, along with managing Heartland B-cycle’s Equity Program, which addresses inequalities in transportation and recreation access by providing free Heartland B-cycle memberships to underserved communities. The program is rooted in strong community partnerships with organizations across the Metro, with whom Fiona created programs specific to each community to address unique barriers to transportation and recreation.
Fiona has a Master of Urban Planning & Policy degree from University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.
