Bianca Mers (she/her) is a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania studying City and Regional Planning. She passionate about creating just and inclusive places where people can thrive, and she brings a broad and holistic perspective to community development and urban planning. She has previously worked in transportation, economic development, community development, housing, and social policy. Her current work focuses on the intersection of housing, energy, and health and the role of housing quality and building codes.
Bianca is the Immediate Past Chair of the Student Representatives Council, where she works to expand opportunities for students and emerging planners within APA and across the profession.
