Bill Cesanek, AICP, is a Senior Environmental & Infrastructure Planner for CDM Smith. With more than 30 years of experience, he works to advance interdisciplinary approaches to urban, infrastructure, and water resource planning. Bill works closely with major cities on green infrastructure and water resource initiatives, and climate resilience/hazard mitigation projects. He chaired the American Planning Association’s Water Task Force from 2014 to 2017, and has co-chaired APA’s Water and Planning Network since 2017. Bill co-authored the PAS report “Planners and Water”. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the Bloustein Graduate School of Planning at Rutgers University, teaching Sustainable Infrastructure Planning since 2012.
