Corrin Wendell, FAICP is the Founder and Executive Director of YEP! Youth Engagement Planning, President & Owner of Future Focus Strategies, Past Chair of APA’s Women & Planning Division, a National and International Keynote Speaker, and a Children's Book Author of “Ava Tanner, the City Planner.” She is a two-time graduate of The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Masters of City and Regional Planning. Corrin's passion for enhancing the planning profession was cultivated over a 20-year career spanning diverse planning disciplines including architecture, urban design, land use planning, comprehensive planning, zoning, and community and youth engagement. Corrin is a champion for women and children that is strongly exemplified through her service to the planning profession including mentorship, guest lecturing, developing curriculum, and teaching urban planning in K-12 classrooms. She created the Girl Scout City Planning Patch, "Girls Who Plan" Program, and the WPD Wendell Legacy Impact Award. She is a PAB Site Visitor, Planning Magazine Published Author, and the recipient of the APA MN Planner of the Year Award, APA WPD Excellence in Leadership Award, Thornton Education Trust Award, The Planner International Woman Planner of Influence, and the APA MN Planning Excellence Award.
