Andrea serves as the Director of Housing Stability on the Detroit Community Initiatives team at the Gilbert Family Foundation. Her work involves collaborating across teams to reinforce the organization’s commitment to grow opportunity and equity for Detroit residents and businesses. Displacement prevention; homeownership creation; safe and healthy housing; and protecting assets are the pillars her team’s investments reinforce, to honor this commitment.
A native Detroiter, Andrea began her career in the non-profit sector creating and delivering products and services to support housing stabilization, economic mobility, and environmentally sustainable practices in Detroit. Prior to joining the Gilbert Family Foundation, she worked at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) where she managed business retention and expansion projects throughout Wayne and Oakland County.
Andrea is a graduate of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service where she received a degree in urban planning.
