Amit Price Patel is a Partner at DIALOG and an award winning urban planner, architect, and urban designer with more than 25 years of experience advancing equitable, community focused housing and neighbourhoods across North America. His work spans affordable, supportive, Indigenous, and modular housing, as well as large scale master planning, urban design, and transit oriented development. Amit has led the design and delivery of communities serving newcomers, low income seniors, unhoused individuals and families, youth, and First Nations and Métis communities. Recent projects include X̱ápay̓ay: Place of Cedars Urban Indigenous Housing, the Scott Road Station Sustainable Transit Village, and the Rock Bay Industry, Arts, and Innovation District.
Amit brings a strong blend of design leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational stewardship, grounded in a deep commitment to inclusive engagement, reconciliation, and social justice. Amit has collaborated extensively with equity denied communities, municipalities, non profits, the private sector, and housing providers to create sustainable and resilient places. Amit's experience working across Canada, as well as San Francisco, St. Louis, Boston, and South Africa, informs a collaborative and empathetic approach rooted in the belief that thoughtfully designed places and processes are foundational to community wellbeing and human connection.
