Kim has a passion for the practice of urban planning law, concentrating her practice in the areas of land use, real estate development, economic development, and is a frequent speaker and author on these issues. In her current role advising the entities that comprise Downtown Houston+, she blends her legal and planning expertise to achieve the mission of making Downtown Houston a connected and thriving place for everyone. She is also a Visiting Associate Professor in the Masters in Urban Planning program at Texas Southern University, and formerly in the Masters in Urban Planning program at Texas A&M University. She was inducted as a Fellow in the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2024.
