Jesica Youngblood is the Director of Planning for the Town of Bedford, NY and has extensive municipal experience crafting land use and zoning solutions for suburban communities. Most recently, Jesica steered the adoption of its comprehensive plan Bedford Together that emphasized public input to derive community-supported recommendations. During her tenure with the town, she has overseen zoning changes effectuating housing developments, revitalization strategies to invigorate business districts, and leveraged state funding to design and construct an off-road pathway connecting two hamlets.
Jesica previously served as the City Planner for Peekskill, NY and the Assistant Director of Planning and Development for the Village of Port Chester. She holds a Master of City & Regional Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Texas Christian University. Jesica holds certifications form the National Form Based Code Institute, National Complete Streets Coalition, and Esri. She is active in APA as well as in local academic and business-development groups.
