Josh Yost is the Community Development Director for the City of Springville, Utah. An urban planner with more than 15 years of experience, he focuses on land-use planning, zoning reform, transportation, and historic preservation. Josh has led major planning initiatives in Springville, addressing growth, housing supply, and development standards in one of the fastest-growing regions of the Intermountain West. Earlier in his career, he helped establish Design Connect, a community design studio at Cornell University, and participated in the effort to save Brigham Young University’s historic Amanda Knight Hall from demolition, leading to its sale, preservation, and reuse as women’s housing. Josh lives in Springville with his wife, Kim, and their four children.
