Andrea Bell is an illustrator and comic artist living in Chicago. Her selected published graphic novel titles include the "Diary of a Fifth Grade Outlaw" (2019 - 2020, Epic! Creations) trilogy written by Gina Loveless, "The Leak" (2021, First Second) written by Kate Reed Petty, "Maker Comics: Conduct a Science Experiment" (2021, First Second) written by Der-shing Helmer, "Crumble" (2025, Little Brown Young Readers) written by Meredith McClaren, "Millie of the Manor" (2025, HarperAlley) written by Karina Evans, and the anticipated "Framed" which is also written by Karina Evans to be published by Harper Alley in September 2026. Andrea has appeared in such anthologies as "Transformers Beast Wars 2022 Annual", "Joan Jett and the Black Hearts" graphic album, and "Tori Amos: Little Earthquakes graphic album." Andrea's illustrations have gained recognition through reputable periodicals such as BookPage's "Best Books of 2025", NPR's "Books We Love", New York Public Library's "Best Books of 2025", ALA's "Best Graphic Novels for Children 2025", The New York Times, Kirkus, Publisher's Weekly, and has also been awarded the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection for "The Leak."
