Nik Stepnitz

Nik Stepnitz has been serving the City of Clawson as the Assistant City Manager and Director of Community & Economic Development since the beginning of 2023 and has also served in various roles in the community since 2019. Nik helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the City, with a primary focus on communications, community development, economic development, grant programming, and planning. Major successes include the redevelopment of key sites in and around downtown Clawson, achieved while preserving the character of the community. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Western Michigan University and a Master of Public Administration from Oakland University.
