Joe Meyers (he/him/his)

Joe Meyers is the Director of Community Services for the City of Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he oversees economic development, community development, planning, historic preservation, permitting, code enforcement, and rental housing. Since joining the city in 2015, he has helped drive downtown revitalization, expand affordable housing, and shape local policy — including efforts around short-term rental regulation and long-range economic planning.
Prior to his current role, Joe held positions with the Detroit Regional Partnership, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and Antrim County. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Michigan University.
