Lindsey Williams is the Director of Community Development at the Houston Land Bank, where she leads initiatives to expand access to affordable homeownership through innovative land-activation strategies. Grounded in architecture as a social practice, she aligns design, policy, and community engagement to address systemic inequities in the built environment.
She leads the Finding Home initiative, a scalable model that pairs publicly owned land with pre-vetted home designs and streamlined permitting to reduce development barriers and accelerate the construction of resilient, attainable housing. Her work focuses on removing friction for small-scale builders, integrating FORTIFIED™ construction, and advancing equitable neighborhood revitalization.
Williams has helped secure major federal and philanthropic investments, including EPA brownfields funding, and leads partnerships with organizations such as Fannie Mae, the Center for Community Progress, and Auburn University Rural Studio. Her work, developed in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, has been recognized by the American Planning Association, including Best Practices awards from APA Houston and APA Texas Chapter for the ADU|HOU initiative.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Prairie View A&M University and is a frequent speaker on equitable development and housing innovation. She is also a proud wife and mom.
