Why do so many Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) conversations in planning seem to be led by minority women? This panel brings together four women planners with diverse experiences whose leadership skills lead them to become the "equity voice" at the table. With humor, honesty, and a touch of interactivity, they unpack the reasons behind this trend - from systemic barriers to cultural expectations and the resilience and creativity minority women bring to planning practice. Participate in short interactive polls and scenarios to reflect on who leads DEI conversations in your organization and why.
