Notable projects include the transformation of the historic Higginbotham School into low-income housing, the historic renovation of the Detroit Fire Department Headquarters into the boutique Detroit Foundation Hotel and the adaptive reuse of the blighted Fisher Body Plant into a mixed-use loft apartment project.
John's approach to design has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition from the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, and Michigan Historic Preservation Network. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2000 and remains active on the School of Architecture Dean’s Advisory Council.
