Daniel Studdard, AICP, is a Planning Administrator at the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the 19-county MPO for the Atlanta Region. In this role, he focuses on freight planning, ITS/TSMO, and EV/alternative fuels planning. This includes managing the MPO’s freight planning program, working with local governments, GDOT, FHWA, and the private sector to conduct federally required long range transportation planning for the Atlanta region. Daniel was the project manager for the 2024 ARC Regional Freight Plan, manages ARC's Freight Cluster Plan program, and leads the ARC Freight Advisory Task Force.
Prior to joining ARC in 2014, Daniel spent nearly a decade doing transportation planning and traffic studies for consulting companies, as well as three years in the communications field. He was President of the Georgia Chapter of APA in 2020-2021 and spent 10 years on their board. He was also a member of the 2021-2024 ATRI Research Advisory Committee and is a past member of the TRB Urban Freight Committee. Daniel has a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech and a BA in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
