Planner
City of Tulsa
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Jeremy Banes has been a planner for the City of Tulsa for three years working in current, long range, and neighborhood planning roles. He has lived in the Tulsa metro area for most of his life.
Jeremy has a bachelor’s in Liberal Arts from Saint Gregory’s University and a master’s in Urban Design from the University of Oklahoma. Concurrent with his wandering academic journey to urban planning, Jeremy spent 18 years in the food service industry regularly talking to complete strangers. In his current role, Jeremy spends a lot of time translating planning concepts into plain language and visuals.
Next to breathing, Jeremy believes that housing is one of the most important necessities for humans to thrive, because, no matter what you do for a living, everyone wants to close their door on it at the end of the day.
When he is not working, Jeremy can be found (behind is front door) playing the Spanish guitar, reading, and trying to solve all the world’s problems.
