Abriannah Aiken (she/her) is a designer and activist. She works at DLR Group, where she specializes in urban planning and cultural and performing arts projects. In addition, she is the co-founder and New York Operations Officer of Architecture + Advocacy. She received her M.S.AAD from Columbia University GSAPP, where she has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. She is a co-author of “Disappearing Queer Spaces” (Columbia GSAPP, 2023) and launched the companion Queer Harlem Augmented Reality Phone Application. Her work with Feminist Spatial Practices was recently featured as part of the Chronograms exhibition organized by e_flux Architecture and the Jencks Foundation. She looks forward to her future advocacy in the design field, centering community-voices through design advocacy and community engagement.
