Nani Kauz Apolo (they/them/theirs)

WXY Studio

Nani Kauz Apolo is a designer and urban planner working to address disparities across urban systems. Since 2021, they have led environmental justice initiatives and school planning projects with city agencies and non-profits in NYC and beyond as an Associate at WXY Studio. Nani holds a bachelor’s in public policy from Duke University and is pursuing a master’s in urban planning at Hunter College. Nani was a 2023 Forefront Fellow & current Associate Board member at the Urban Design Forum and serves on the merchandising committee at their local food co-op, where they spend a not insubstantial amount of time thinking about our foodways.
