Morgan Wortham is an urban planner and economic developer with 20 years of experience in economic development, real estate, and urban planning. Ms. Wortham’s professional experience encompasses both the private and public sectors, from universities to cities. Morgan currently serves as the Director of Membership Support for Community Advancement at ICSC where she leads the efforts for members on best practices for public and private sector partnerships to better innovate commerce and serve communities. Prior to that, she was the Managing Director of the Maryland Women’s Business Center where she led a team of Small Business Administration business consultants who provided entrepreneurial advising to women small business owners. Ms. Wortham currently serves as president for Women in Retail Real Estate (WIRRE). She is also serving as chair for the American Planning Association’s Economic Development Division, and vice-chair of the International Economic Development Council’s Redefining Equitable Economic Development advisory committee. Ms. Wortham is originally from Waterloo, Iowa. Ms. Wortham holds an MBA from the University of Northern Iowa and a MPA from Drake University. Ms. Wortham is now pursuing a PhD at the University of Maryland in Urban & Regional Planning and Design.
