Raised in Puna on the Island of Hawai‘i, Jeff pursued his passions at the University of California, Berkeley College of Environmental Design architecture program with a minor in city and regional planning. After gaining experience in educational facility design, owner representation, and due diligence projects in the continental U.S., he returned home to Hawai‘i in 2012 to help improve the quality of life in his home state through planning and architectural design. Jeff garners more than 18 years of combined experience in both architecture and city planning, and will continue to assist in the development of environmental and urban planning products including feasibility studies, master plans, land use permitting applications and environmental compliance documentation.

Jeff served as President of the APA Hawai‘i Chapter from 2024-2025, and is currently serving as APAHI's Past President through 2027.
